Abstract This research analyzes the discourse about “labor commitment” in a company of telecommunications. Members that belong to the organization were interviewed: two of operative level, two of tactical level and two of directive level, three of them with an experience in the company less than 18 months, and the other three with an experience over 3 years. For the recollected data, the qualitative method of discourse analysis, and interviewing were used, like instruments that allowed collecting pertinent information. The interviews were codified in categories for their later interpretation with the discourse analysis by Potter and Wetherel, considering the identification of construction patterns and variability as well as emergency of interpretative repertoires. Six repertoires were taken around the labor commitment, these, as its clear from the analysis of the data the discourse associated with this concept, are related closely with the productivity of the workers, with the control that pretends that personnel do not criticize or question. At last, it is known that a worker who has no commitment is exposed to and threat, putting its labor stability in risk.
