En este artículo se analiza el concepto de zona gris, presentado por Primo Levi desde su testimonio -de probada vocación literaria- como sobreviviente de los campos de concentración y exterminio alemanes, que pone en evidencia el conflicto entre el fracaso del derecho y la necesidad de desarrollar una nueva ética que esté más cerca de las acciones del hombre. El análisis se desarrolla desde los planteamientos presentados por el filósofo italiano Giorgio Agamben y la filósofa política Hannah Arendt, quien incorpora otro elemento determinante para el desarrollo de la zona gris: la banalidad del mal.
