En este trabajo vamos a tratar de conocer que servicios prestan los establecimientos de la isla a las personas que realizan deporte durante su estancia de vacaciones. Además, se trasladarán los conceptos más destacados y la evolución del turismo hasta llegar al concepto de turismo deportivo y las causas o fenómenos que han hecho que este sector cobre especial importancia. En especial, nos centraremos en Canarias y más concretamente en Lanzarote, debido al potencial de este lugar como destino para la práctica deportiva, haciendo finalmente una propuesta para la mejora de este tipo de perfil deportivo en la isla.

In this work, we are trying to know the services that offer the establishments of the island to the people that do sport during this holiday accommodation. Also, we will know the outstanding terms and the tourism progress until the consideration about sport tourism and the reasons or phenomenon that had made that this sector acquires special importance. Especially we will focus on the Canary Island and more specifically on Lanzarote, due to the potential of this place as a sport destination, we suggest finally a proposal to improve this type of sport profile on the island.
