Esta investigación tiene como objetivo analizar la situación de las camareras de piso en Canarias ya que es un colectivo muy importante dentro de la actividad turística y actualmente se encuentra en una situación muy difícil. El punto partido de este trabajo es que las camareras de piso, se enfrentan a unas condiciones de laborales muy duras que afectan gravemente a su salud, aun conociendo la importancia de estas profesionales dentro del turismo. Para la realización de este trabajo se ha consultado documentación nacional, legal y vigente en relación a la profesión de camareras de piso para conocer a este colectivo. Además, se evalúan sus riesgos laborales más habituales y se propone medidas preventivas. La importancia de este trabajo puede radicar en el análisis de datos obtenidos al colectivo de camareras de piso de la isla de Lanzarote, los cuales se pueden utilizar como punto de partida de investigaciones posteriores de este sector profesional.

This investigation takes as a target to analyse the situation of the chambermaids in the Canary Island since they are a very important group inside the tourist activity and at present they are in a very difficult situation. The point departed from this work is that apartment chambermaids, face to a few very hard labour conditions that they affect seriously to their health, even knowing the importance of these professional inside the tourism. For the achievement of this work we have made consulted national, legal and current information as regards the chambermaid apartment profession to meet this group. Besides that it’s most habitual labour risks we evaluated and we propose preventive measurements. The importance of this work is in the analysis of information obtained from the group chambermaid of apartment of the island of Lanzarote, which can be used like a starting point of later investigation of this professional sector.
