En los últimos años la oferta de alojamiento turístico se ha visto afectada por la aparición de la figura de la vivienda vacacional como método alternativo y diferente de hacer turismo. En este trabajo se pretende plasmar los diferentes motivos que han provocado la necesaria elaboración de una normativa específica que regule la figura de la vivienda vacacional para finalmente, centrarnos en la situación actual del alquiler vacacional en Lanzarote.

Recently the supply of tourist accommodation has been affected by the appearance of the figure of the holiday home as an alternative and different method of sightseeing. In this project it is showed the various reasons that have led to the necessary development of a specific regulation that standardizes the figure of the holiday home to finally, focus on the current situation of rental accommodation in Lanzarote.
