Abstract

Se presenta un método para la determinaci6n espectrofluorimétrica de clorofilas a y b en algas bentónicas marinas, utilizando como técnica de separación la Cromatografía en Capa Fina. Se establecen las correspondientes curvas de calibrado y se realiza un estudio estadístico del método. El mismo se aplica a la determinación de clorofila a y b en algas verdes y pardas del litoral del Archipiélago Canario. Palabras clave: pigmentos, algas, espectrofluorimetría.

The paper presents a spectrofluorometric method for determining chlorophylls a and b in marine algae using thin-layer chromatography as separate technique. Th is establ ished a corresponding calibration curve and a stadistical study of the method. Green and brown algae from the Canary Islands was used to determine chlorophylls a and b.
