Inestabilidad Académica vs. Inestabilidad Político-Financiera en un Programa Universitario de Mayores

Abstract

A large part of university programs for older adults have had an origin from the university extension. Corseted by this academic instability have also been seen in uncertainty of funding. As such, many universities have turned to a source of funding for these university programs through the always capricious policy grants from other public and/or private. Both circumstances have led, in some programs, instabilities that have plunged them into a state of lethargy and even the disappearance of the same, at least in descentralized offices of the parent edition of the corresponding university program. Moreover, some universities have joined their governance and control of their academic activities, students in these programs. This opening participatory must also be configured with the academic and financial stabilization requires all regulated activity in universities.
