Selección de variables en el análisis coste-efectividad

Abstract

Recientemente varios autores han propuesto el uso de los modelos de regresión lineal para explicar la efectividad y el coste de un determinado tratamiento. Entre las variables explicativas se incluirían características sociodemográficas, variables clínicas y variables binarias indicando el tratamiento recibido. Hasta ahora todos los trabajos estiman únicamente el modelo completo, ignorando la incertidumbre asociada a la selección de modelos. En este trabajo mostramos cuatro m etodos alternativos de selecci on de variables desde una perspectiva bayesiana, mostrando su utilidad en la estimaci on de probabilidades de inclusi on, la estimaci on de la efectividad y coste incremental a trav es del Bayesian model averaging, y el an alisis de subgrupos.
