Estrategias cognitivas y motivacionales en el aprendizaje de estudiantes universitarios

Abstract

¿Qué tipo de estrategias de estudio utilizan los alumnos universitarios? Cuando se habla de estrategias de aprendizaje, se piensa en las de tipo cognitivo o en las de control, no, en las estrategias motivacionales. El objetivo de esta investigación es conocer ambos tipos y sus relaciones. La muestra está formada por 2.037 estudiantes de todos los centros y especialidades de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Los resultados indican que no son muchos los que utilizan estrategias de aprendizaje, y menos, estrategias de tipo productivo. Coherentemente, los que más hacen uso de ellas, son los más motivados. Las estrategias motivacionales más utilizadas tienen que ver con relacionar los contenidos de estudio con su utilidad, con la experiencia o con la realidad. Las que menos, tienen que ver con el manejo de las emociones.
