The aim of the article is twofold: to find out the causes of university drop-out as well as to work out the line of investigation for the FAU (FRIEDRICHALEXANDER UNIVERSITAT ERLANGEN-NURNBERG). In this article we elaborate the method of the possible drop-out causes of the FAU's student body by means of the statistics data that we have found out, moreover by means of surveys of the drop-out causes that were given to the teachers, students who continue their studies and the students who abandoned this university. Also, finally we going to speak about the possible lines of investigation that we consider important. Being quite an extensive study, probably we will dip more in the phenomenon of university drop-out in our next articles, as on the level of Germany as well as on the level of Spain.

El artículo tiene un doble objetivo: conocer las causas de abandono universitario así como las líneas de investigación para la FAU. En este artículo se elabora una medición de las posibles causas del abandono del alumnado de la FAU (FriedrichAlexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg) (Alemania), a través de los datos estadísticos que hemos averiguado además de las encuestas de causas de abandono que se pasaron a los profesores, estudiantes que continúan sus estudios y los alumnosque han abandonado dicha universidad. También hablamos al final de las posibles líneas de investigación consideradas. Por ser un estudio muy amplio, quizás en próximos artículos ahondaremos más en el fenómeno del abandono universitario, tanto en Alemania como en España.
