Abstract

The aún of tbis paper is to analyse the narrative techaiques Lhat Vicente Mariner uses in Book 1 of Gustnoneidos Libri Quinque to praise Conde-Duque de Olivares. Without making reference to the praised, non even mentioning the name of O. Gaspar de Guzmán, the Valencian humanist goes back to dxc origins of the Guzmán family, and, from that point in the past, he indirectly highlights the most important values conceming himself and his way of doing politics: his Virtus & bis Fides.
