La Comisión Europea, en la Comunicación de la Comisión de 2.7.2002, definió la Responsabilidad Social Corporativa como la integración voluntaria, por parte de las empresas, en las preocupaciones sociales y ambientales en sus operaciones y en las relaciones con sus interlocutores. La UE apuesta por la gestión ética como el camino para integrar en las empresas la cultura de la responsabilidad social. La respuestas de las empresas no ha tardado, en los últimos años han proliferado las Memorias de Responsabilidad Social y las Memorias de Sostenibilidad. Este estudio es una invitación a la reflexión sobre la Responsabilidad Social y las posibilidades de certificarse. En las conclusiones, se explica que la empresa socialmente responsable no necesita ser evaluada ni certificada como tal.
The European Commission, Communication from the Commission on 2.7.2002, defined CSR as the voluntary integration, by enterprises, social and environmental concerns in their operations and relationships with partners. The EU commitment to ethical management as a way to integrate the culture of corporate social responsibility. The responses of companies wasted no time in recent years have proliferated and Social Responsibility Reports and Sustainability reports. This study is an invitation to debate on social responsibility and their ability to become certified. The conclusions suggests that the socially responsability of the companies does not need to be assessed and certified as such.
