Los inmigrantes aportan una amplia gama de competencias, experiencia, cualificaciones y conocimientos al mercado laboral canario. Sin embargo, pueden encontrarse con barreras para ser contratados, como dificultades para dominar el idioma o el simple hecho de que sus titulaciones educativas o su formación profesional no sean reconocidas o comprendidas por los empleadores españoles. No les queda más remedio que convertirse en "supervivientes" si quieren proveer para su familia así que se adaptan a nuevas profesiones y adquieren la fama de ser muy trabajadores. Asimismo, otro de los principales problemas a los que se enfrentan al emigrar a otro país es que se ven desvinculados de sus redes y sus pertenencias. La sensación de seguridad que les daba vivir en su país de origen se ve sustituida por la incertidumbre del aislamiento. A esto se le suma la dificultad de encontrar un empleo si no disponen de contactos porque, aunque hay muchos empleadores que les brindan esta oportunidad, por desgracia, la mayoría no consigue llegar a estas personas. De ahí surge el interés por solucionar este problema y facilitarles el inicio de una nueva etapa de desarrollo profesional en la isla mediante la creación de una aplicación web que les ayude a encontrar un empleo que se adapte a sus necesidades y que les proporcione elementos de gestión del conocimiento para que también les resulten útiles a la hora de establecer una nueva vida en la isla.

Hence, the interest in solving this problem and easing the start of a new stage of professional development on the island through the development of a web application that will help them find a job that suits their needs and provide them with elements of knowledge management that will also be useful when establishing a new life on the island.
