Período reproductivo y talla de primera madurez sexual del salmonete de roca Mullus surmuletus (Linnaeus, 1758) en las islas Canarias
Se estudiaron 723 salmonetes de roca Mullus surmuletus capturados al suroeste de la isla de Gran Canana (Islas Canarios) a lo largo dr 1992. El rango de tallas oscila entre los 11 y 2 9 cm de longitud total La proporción de sexos presenta diferencia significativas de la relación teórica 1:1, con un claro predominio de las hembras sobre los machos. El periodo reproductivo se sitúa entre los meses de febrero y mayo, con un máximo entre marzo-abril. La talla de primera madurez sexual l(50 %) se alcanza, tanto para los machos corno para Las hembras, a los 16 cm de longitud total.
