Otolitos sagitta de peces de las Islas Canarias

Abstract

Las campañas pesqueras realizadas por el Instituto Canario de Ciencias Marinas han permitido recolectar, durante un periodo de 25 años, unas 150 especies de peces óseos de Canarias. Los muestreos en laboratorio han posibilitado la extracción y almacenamiento de otolitos de la mayoría de ellas. En este trabajo presentamos imágenes de estereoscopía óptica del otolito del otolito sagitta de 60 especies, representativas de los diferentes ambientes de la ictiofauna canaria, de utilidad de numerosos campos de la investigación científica.
