Marcadores del discurso de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of discourse connectors in the urban community of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. We work with the linguistic performance samples of twelve high educational level speakers, organized in two subsamples, of six speakers each, with a parallel distribution with respect to the variables sex and age. The first sample was recorded around 1990 and the second one, around 2008. The methodological approach is common to that of other research teams that contribute to this volume and that, without exception, are part of the Coordinated Research Project on the Educated Hispanic Norm “Juan M. Lope Blanch”.
