Efectos de dos programas de entrenamiento de equilibrio sobre el sistema visual del control postural en mujeres de mediana edad

Abstract

El control postural consiste en mantener el centro de masas dentro de la base de sustentación, la cual disminuye con el avance de la edad aumentándose el riesgo de caída. El objetivo del estudio es analizar, evaluar y comparar los efectos de un programa de entrenamiento de ejercicios de equilibrio estático y otro de estáticodinámico sobre el control postural en mujeres de mediana edad. La muestra se compone de 33 mujeres (47,57±7,93 años; 164,36±6,57 cm; 65,09±10,49 kg), divididas en dos grupos de entrenamiento: programa de ejercicios de equilibrio estático (n=16) y programa de ejercicios de equilibrio estático-dinámico (n=17). El entrenamiento se realizó dos días en semanas durante 12 semanas dedicando 20 minutos de cada sesión (1h). Las pruebas para evaluar el control postural fueron estáticas (ojos abiertos, ojos cerrados) a través de la plataforma de fuerza. Los resultados sugieren que el entrenamiento del equilibrio afecta de manera positiva al control postural. Sin embargo, no se observó diferencias significativas entre los distintos programas de ejercicios ejecutados (estático vs. dinámico).
