El poblamiento de Lanzarote

Abstract

Cualquier referencia a la ocupación del territorio y al desarrollo del hábitat lanzaroteño nos remite a un proceso de poblamiento cuyos ritmos y pautas de evolución han originado una profunda transformación del espacio insular. No obstante, la antropización se ha desarrollado a lo largo de un dilatado periodo en el que recocemos signos y constantes dispares en cuanto al poblamiento, y todo ello en íntima relación en la evolución técnica y económica de la sociedad insular y con el aprovechamiento del ecosistema, factor este que ha jugado un papel de primer orden a lo largo de la historia.
