Abstract

Service-learning offers the opportunity to develop strategic thinking in a real scenario and helps students to develop as individuals by participating in projects of personal interest and for the community, being a social utility. The objectives set in this work were to help our students acquire personal and social skills to be aware of the importance of human trichinellosis and anisakiasis and to carry out a solidarity-based scientific dissemination activity, following quality standards. We worked with the students on these diseases, of which 9 informative talks were carried out by 4 teachers and 4 student volunteers and all of them were evaluated by the Kahoot tool with excellent results.
