In this paper a methodology for evaluating the spatial quality of fused images is described. Even though there are numerous indicators published in the literature, there is no consensus on their performance. In general, they use the pixel as a reference for the computation so that the result is a unique overall value that hardly represents the perceived quality of a human. The proposed methodology exploits the differences among objects as a method to generate a map of the local measure of quality, from which it ca n be derived a value of overall spatial quality. This approach has been subjected to va lidation by ap plying it to a da tabase o f fu sed imag es, a nd co mparing it with o ther spa tial qu ality measure.
