Abstract

Diversos estudios constatan que el consumo de drogas que afecta a los adolescentes puede afectar a su desarrollo integral (Fernández Hermida y Secades Villa, 2001; Arbex Sánchez, Mora Rodríguez y Moreno Arnedillo, 2004), e incorporar a su estilo de vida hábitos que puedan incidir en la comisión de infracciones, no necesariamente como desencadenante de las mismas, pero sí como factor facilitador de conductas antisociales (Ruiz, Stevens, Fuhriman, Bogart y Korchmaros, 2009; Kofler-Westergren, Klopf y Mitterauer, 2010). A través de esta investigación se pretende constatar la presencia del consumo de drogas en la población de menores/jóvenes infractores, así como aproximarnos al patrón de consumo por parte de los mismos. El estudio se centra en un análisis de las muestras de orina recogidas a un total de 81 menores/jóvenes en cumplimiento de medidas judiciales en el año 2011 en el CIEMI “La Montañeta”, dependiente de la Fundación Canaria de Juventud Ideo. Los resultados revelan que al menos un 73% de los menores/jóvenes son consumidores de una o varias sustancias. Además, se detecta en qué medida se hace uso del cannabis, los benzodiacepinas y/o la cocaína.
