Abstract

El estudio de los crímenes de lesa humanidad es un ejercicio de inmersión en la maldad humana, siempre infinita en su ejercicio de opresión. Estos crímenes son actos atroces cometidos contra la humanidad y están caracterizados por su brutalidad y alcance masivo.Sin embargo, pocos crímenes como el crimen de lesa humanidad de persecución reflejan el verdadero bien jurídico protegido de los crímenes internacionales, ya que se dirige específicamente a proteger la libertad, la igualdad y la seguridad de los individuos como parte de su inherente dignidad y de su derecho a vivir sin discriminación ni persecución. La presente obra pretende el análisis de este crimen desde un punto de vista preferentemente práctico, a través de la jurisprudencia de los tribunales penales de distinto tipo que se han ocupado de su enjuiciamiento, con el fin de favorecer su aplicabilidad y conocimiento, ya que, solo cortando las raíces del odio, es posible luchar contra el mismo.
