The bond between father and son in Greece, based in piety and obedience, is attested in some passages of Greek tragedy in which one may detect a transgressive purpose that tends to reinforce the dramatic effect of the performance. In this paper, the author provides new arguments of this bond, also analysed from the perspective of religious piety or εὐσέβεια, and studies the purpose of this transgressive effect
