Adenoma pleomorfo del velo del paladar.

Abstract

Además de las glándulas salivares mayores (parótida, submaxilar y sublingual), el tejido salivar se encuentra normalmente también en las denominadas glándulas salivares menores. Aunque cualquiera de los tumores que tiene lugar en las glándulas salivares mayores puede formarse en las glándulas salivares menores, el más frecuente es el cistoadenocarcinoma (cilindroma) y el adenoma pleomorfo es el segundo tumor en frecuencia. En el presente artículo publicamos un caso clínico de un adenoma pleomorfo del velo del paladar y realizamos una revisión bibliográfica sobre este tema.
