En este artículo se realiza una revisión genérica de los fundamentos básicos de alguno de los métodos más extendidos para analizar la eficiencia, puesto que ésta aparece como elemento determinante, por ser el más controlable, de la competitividad. Por ello, el trabajo arranca diferenciando entre ambos conceptos, competitividad y eficiencia, al tiempo que se establecen sus vínculos.
The paper develops a general vision of fundamentals of the more extended methods to analyse efficiency as the most controllable way to reach competitiveness. Firstly, section 2 clarifies the conceptual difference between competitiveness and efficiency establishing their relationship.
