Cultura en la Comunidad Valenciana

Abstract

En el ámbito de la planificación económica y territorial, cada vez se va generando mayor consenso alrededor de la afirmación de que la dimensión simbólica de un espacio es un factor relevante para determinar su competitividad. Los últimos y precisos estudios, dirigidos por el profesor Ezequiel Uriel (Uriel, E., 2007), muestran que en el conjunto de España y de acuerdo con las definiciones estándar de los sectores culturales, estos sectores suponen alrededor del 3% del PIB, lo que implica una posición muy próxima a otros grandes sectores económicos (-en el año 2004, 3,07 % de participación en el VAB del sector de actividades culturales, 3,85% del VAB de las actividades ligadas a la propiedad intelectual frente al 77% del sector de la Agricultura Ganadería y Pesca, o el 2,56% del sector de la Energía-)
