The article points out a brief explanation of some rights of the patient with respect to the medical duties. It also refers to the civil liability of doctors according to the Venezuelan legal system, considering different aspects such as the elements of liability, the personal nature or not of the provision of the medical services, whether such services constitute obligations related to the means or related to the ends; if it is a contractual or non-contractual obligation, the conventional regulation of medical liability and lastly the responsibility of the health centers.
El artículo se pasea brevemente por algunos derechos del paciente con proyección a los deberes médicos. También se refiere la responsabilidad civil del médico en el ordenamiento jurídico venezolano, considerando diferentes aspectos como los elementos de la responsabilidad, el carácter personalísimo o no de la prestación, si tales constituyen obligaciones de medio u obligaciones de resultado; si se trata de una obligación contractual o extracontractual, la regulación convencional de la responsabilidad médica y finalmente la responsabilidad de los establecimientos de salud.
