L’ús de les xarxes socials amb finalitats educatives afavoreix l’aprenentatge col·laboratiu i l’intercanvi d’informació. Aquest article presenta una experiència de l’ús de les xarxes socials com a recurs educatiu, concretament de la plataforma Ning, amb la finalitat d’animar el professorat perquè les utilitze en la seua pràctica docent. La xarxa Ning té l’avantatge de disposar d’un entorn privat per als membres del grup que permet personalitzar el treball del curs dins d’una comunitat virtual particular. A més, potencia la interacció comunicativa i possibilita incloure-hi diferents materials multimèdia i recursos produïts tant pel professorat com per l’alumnat.
The use of social networks for educational purposes fosters collaborative learning and information exchange. This article presents an experience of the use of social networks as an educational resource, specifically the Ning platform to encourage teachers to use them in their lessons. The Ning network has the advantage of having a private area for group members so they can personalise their work on the course within a particular virtual community. In addition, it also strengthens communicative interaction and makes it possible to include different multimedia materials and resources procured by both teachers and students.
