Four cases of myositis ossificans circumscripta are reported: two cases occurred in healthty individuals without any history of trauma (pseudomalignant myositis ossificans) and two with history of trauma. We review the conceptual, etilogical, diagnostic aspects and the indications for removing the lesion in literature.
