Ciència i tecnologia per a un desenvolupament rural sostenible

Abstract

Els grans reptes als quals ha de fer front avui la humanitat per a construir un futur sostenible –eradicar la fam i la pobresa extrema, assolir l’educació universal, la igualtat dels gèneres, reduir la pèrdua de biodiversitat i d’altres recursos mediambientals fonamentals, combatre el canvi climàtic, etc.- exigeixen una atenció prioritària al món rural, tant en el països en desenvolupament com en els desenvolupats. La Ciència de la Sostenibilitat, un nou camp de coneixements interdisciplinar i transdisciplinar, que incorpora a la ciutadania en els seus estudis i presa de decisions, pot i ha de contribuir a un desenvolupament rural com a component essencial de societats sostenibles, solidàries i satisfactòries per al conjunt de la població. Paraules clau: Desenvolupament Rural, Sostenibilitat, Emergència planetària, Ciència de la Sostenibilitat, Drets Humans.
