Se actualiza la información disponible sobre la única población valenciana conocida de Orchis purpurea Huds., en la Sierra de Mariola. Su distribución conocida se amplía a dos nuevas cuadrículas U.T.M. y se constata una evidente expansión de esta planta. Además, se incluye la relación de orquídeas acompañantes, entre las que Ophrys lucentina P. Delforge se cita por primera vez para la flora de la provincia de Valencia. Con todo, se presenta un diagnóstico sobre el estado de conservación global de estas orquídeas y las posibles pautas a seguir ante los factores de riesgo.
Updated information is given on the only known Valencian population of Orchis purpurea Huds. from the Sierra de Mariola. Its current distribution is extended to two new UTM locations, and an evident expansion of the population is verified. Also included is a checklist with other accompanying orchids, among which Ophrys lucentina P. Delforge is cited for the first time in Valencia province. The conservation status of the orchids at that site is discussed, as well as the possible introduction of regulations in view of the risk factors.
