El artículo analiza las distintas opciones para la protección de las invenciones en Europa en la actualidad y en un futuro próximo, dada la reciente adopción del sistema de patente unitaria, prestando especial atención a los problemas de competencia judicial que la creación del Tribunal Unificado de Patentes suscitará en la práctica.

The aim of this article is to analyze the different options for the protection of inventions in Europe, both nowadays and in the near future, given the recently adopted system of the unitary patent. Special attention is paid to the jurisdictional problems that the creation of the Unified Patent Court will arise in practice.
