El estudio del crimen organizado es un tema recurrente en las últimas décadas, debido principalmente a la proliferación de estos grupos y a la necesidad de conocerlos y tratarlos desde punto de vista jurídico. En este trabajo se presenta algunas de las dificultades que han rodeado el estudio de este fenómeno, tales como una definición clara y completa o una metodología adecuada. A continuación se presentan algunas teorías y conocimientos que tratan de describir el fenómeno del crimen organizado, así como identificar algunas estructuras de funcionamiento y evaluación de estos grupos criminales.
The study of organized crime is a recurring theme in recent decades, mainly due to the proliferation of these groups and the need to meet and deal from legal point of view. This paper presents some of the difficulties that have surrounded the study of this phenomenon, such as a clear and complete definition or a appropriate methodology. Then, is presented some theories and knowledge that try to describe the phenomenon of organized crime and identify some structures to operation and evaluation of these criminal groups.
