Capacidad de uso del suelo y usos recomendados en la Sierra de Espadán (Castellón)

Abstract

Se determinan la capacidad de uso de los suelos de la Sierra de Espadán y los usos recomendados como metodologías para evaluación de dicho territorio. Se exponen, con el código correspondiente, las limitaciones del suelo y del entorno que condicionan cada uno de los usos propuestos. Se presentan el mapa de Capacidad de uso y la Cartografía de las Recomendaciones de uso en un sector representativo de la Sierra de Espadán. Se obtiene que el 90% del total de la superficie presenta baja o muy baja capacidad de uso, debido a la pendiente y erosión hídrica. Destaca, entre los usos recomendados, la Regeneración natural (42% del área), mientras que las zonas en las que se propone la Repoblación arbolada y la Protección ocupan una extensión similar. Por último, para la zona estudiada resulta esencial el conocimiento de la Capacidad de uso para la elaboración del mapa de Recomendaciones de uso, siendo este último una herramienta útil para el planificador.
