Abstract

La inmigración se ha convertido en la actualidad en uno de los factores más utilizados en la explicación de la dinámica demográfica de la población valenciana en los últimos siglos medievales. A partir de la rica documentación conservada en el Archivo Municipal de Valencia, los llibres d'aveinaments, en el presente artículo se reflexiona sobre los perfiles socio-profesionales de los nuevos vecinos, la evolución de los flujos migratorios y las causas que los condicionaron, especialmente la reproducción social de las élites urbanas y las políticas de segregación.
