La cultura del tiempo libre y "las culturas"

Abstract

En el presente artículo se pretende esbozar un diálogo apreciativo entre jóvenes, monitores y técnicos de la administración alrededor de las actividades de tiempo libre que promueven dichos agentes. La intención es hacer partícipes a los jóvenes de las posibilidades que ofertan las administraciones públicas y que gestionan diversas entidades de tiempo libre. Concretamente se piensa que ios intermediarios y monitores se encuentran con dificultades a la hora de involucrar en estas actividades a los jóvenes procedentes de la inmigración reciente que habitan gran parte de los barrios suburbiales de la periferia de Barcelona. Así se exponen una propuesta crítica sobre las nociones de cultura y culturalismo como mecanismos de exclusión y segregación. Herramienta que puede facilitar la inclusión en este tipo de actividades a jóvenes inmigrados o hijos de inmigrados.

La publicación fue resultado de un seminario interdisciplinar en el prestigioso Instituto de Sociología Jurídica de Oñati, en Bilbao. Expertos de todo el mundo vinieron a intercambiar experiencias de investigación desde la teoría del Socioconstructvismo. Una metodología de investigación conocida como Diálogos apreciativos. Con una tradición fundamentada en el socioconstructivismo sociofenomenológico de Peter Berger y Thomas Luckman, diseña unas prácticas de transformación social concretas y aplicables. Concretamente, el capítulo aquí presentado fue devuelto a la organización juvenil donde se realizó el trabajo de campo y este fue incorporado para implementar algunas de las ideas surgidas después de la investigación.
