Abstract

El presente trabajo se engloba dentro de la línea de trabajo El fomento lector en prelectores y se centra en el objeto libro y cómo la materialidad puede influir en el constructo lector y en el desarrollo de la competencia literaria. La elección de esta temática, se hace debido a la importancia y relevancia que supone el acercamiento al libro, potenciando el descubrimiento de historias a través de la materialidad, la manipulación, el juego … Entender el libro como objeto es fundamental en la etapa de prelectura, puesto que los niños antes de saber leer de forma convencional van a manipular el objeto libro. Es por ello que, más que nunca, el libro se concibe como un objeto de descubrimiento, de juego e incluso de encuentro afectivo para con la persona adulta que se lo presenta. Los prelectores, tienen una gran curiosidad por conocer nuevas cosas, lo que les hace explorar el libro, elemento clave para acercarse a la lectura. Además, la alegría que suelen generar la manipulación y el descubrimiento, les predispone favorablemente a la satisfacción y el placer por la lectura. Hemos desarrollado una propuesta basada en la materialidad del libro para el aula de cinco años en el CEIP Vicenta Tarín, situado en Arcos de la Frontera. Una propuesta que tenga como protagonistas los libros como objetos y sus posibilidades en la construcción lectora y en el desarrollo de la competencia lectora y literaria.
