Prostitución. Factores psicosociales asociados e intervención psicosocial

Abstract

La presente revisión bibliográfica se centra en el fenómeno de la prostitución, cuyas principales víctimas son las mujeres ya que se basa en la desigualdad de género. Se establecen los siguientes objetivos: (1) identificar factores psicosociales asociados al ejercicio de la prostitución; (2) identificar y analizar estrategias y experiencias de intervención a nivel psicosocial con mujeres prostituidas. Tras la aplicación de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión se han obtenido 8 artículos. Los resultados indican que la prostitución tiene un impacto negativo en la salud de las mujeres que la ejercen a nivel bio-psico-social. Las consecuencias más prevalentes son el consumo de sustancias, los trastornos del ánimo y el aislamiento social. Por otro lado, las propuestas de intervención encontradas tienen como objetivo paliar dicho impacto y dotar de herramientas a estas mujeres para construir una vida saludable. Esta revisión ha permitido mostrar que el ejercicio de la prostitución es perjudicial para la salud de las mujeres así como la importancia de intervenir al respecto desde la perspectiva feminista. Como futuras líneas de trabajo, se propone profundizar en la elaboración de propuestas de intervención psicosocial desde la psicología comunitaria teniendo presente la perspectiva de género y de los derechos humanos.
