Tensiones residuales generadas en la ZAC y su influencia en la tenacidad a la fractura en los aceros de HSLA, bajo un proceso de soldeo por arco sumergido

Abstract

Partiendo de paneles soldados en un proceso SAW por arco sumergido, con una energía calorífica aportada inferior 3 kj/mm, en las que se ha utilizado como metal base, un acero microaleado de alto límite elástico (HSLA), se han obtenido probetas, para las que se determinan: El nivel de tensiones residuales que se produce en la zona afectada por el calor (ZAC), fundamentalmente en la región intercrítica, cuando los aceros de medio y alto límite elástico se sueldan, bajo un proceso por arco sumergido (SAW), que son los de mayor aporte térmico, dentro de los procesos de soldadura normalmente utilizado en la industria. Así mismo, se determina la influencia que estas tensiones residuales junto con los parámetros de soldadura utilizados, ejercen sobre la tenacidad a la fractura. Se verifican los valores de la resiliencia y de la dureza en la ZAC para ver efecto de las tensiones residuales en la tenacidad a la fractura en estos aceros, bajo el mencionado proceso de soldeo. Se determinan experimentalmente las tensiones residuales generadas en la ZAC, mediante el método del agujero ciego, aunque sin descartar el apoyo de otro método experimental para contrastar los resultados obtenidos. Se establece una correspondencia entre el resultado de las tensiones residuales obtenido y los valores de resiliencia, tenacidad a la fractura y dureza en la ZAC, determinada por la banda térmica, que será calculada teóricamente, mediante la ecuación de Rosenthal. Se comprueban los resultados de las tensiones residuales, obtenidos experimentalmente, con los teóricos mediante la ecuación de Uhlig (1) para una distribución lineal de tensiones residuales.
