La figura femenina en la prensa satírica española del siglo XIX
La prensa de la España del siglo XIX empleó la imagen de la mujer de manera simbólica. Teniendo en cuenta que la realidad y la representación que se hace de ella no son la misma cosa, este artículo analiza cómo eran las mujeres de carne y hueso y qué visión tuvieron de ella los artistas masculinos, analizando las razones que hicieron que estas construcciones simbólicas fueran tal y como fueron.
In 19th-century Spain newspapers used female representations in a symbolic way-- but reality and representation are very different. This article studies real women and the vision male artists had of them, and analyzes the reasons that leaded these symbolic constructions.
