ADHESIÓN DENTAL: SUSTRATO BIOLÓGICO E IMPLICACIOES CLÍNICAS

Abstract

Este artículo es el resumen de una revisión bibliográfica elaborado como estudiantes de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad de Antioquia. Tiene como propósito dar algunas bases racionales para el uso de los adhesivos dentales en la aplicación de resinas compuestas. Esto, con el fin de facilitar el análisis en el momento de hacer la selección y de dar el uso adecuado al material. Se tienen en cuenta cada uno de los elementos que intervienen en el proceso clínico, como son: los tejidos dentales, su sensibilidad, el grabado ácido, el barrillo dentinario, los sistemas de adhesión con sus propiedades químicas y físicas, los acondicionadores dentinales, y la aplicación del material en sí. También se relaciona con a microfiltración -una de las principales causas de fracaso- con las características del adhesivo y el procedimiento clínico.
