Abstract

RESUMEN: El presente estudio analiza el proceso de configuración y reconfiguración de las ciencias sociales escolares entre 1984-2010 en Colombia, a través de los discursos, los debates, las reformas curriculares y los textos escolares que en consecuencia de ello se produjeron. De manera específica, examina los debates y discursos de algunos de los intelectuales en torno a las Ciencias Sociales Escolares, problematiza las reformas curriculares publicadas en Colombia en el período histórico mencionado e identifica en algunos de los textos escolares las luchas presentadas en relación a los contenidos que debían ser enseñados en las Ciencias Sociales. Teóricamente se ha sustentado el estudio desde el campo de las disciplinas escolares, el cual viene adelantando investigaciones desde la teoría crítica y la historia social del currículo. A partir de esta teoría, se hace manifiesto que la selección de los contenidos de enseñanza no obedece a una forma neutral o ingenua. Por el contrario, atiende a ciertas lógicas, necesidades, intereses, ideologías y luchas que operan allí y en las cuales, determinados grupos se disputan el poder de legitimar unos saberes y no otros a ser enseñados en la escuela.
