Situación de salud materno infantil : asentamientos Embera Dabeiba - Antioquia - Colombia 1985 - 1986

Abstract

RESUMEN: Compendia algunos de los resultados más relevantes de la investigación. Después de ubicar en el contexto cultural y geográfico la comunidad estudiada, presenta el comportamiento de la mortalidad por edad y sexo en la población indígena, así como las 10 primeras causas de morbilidad de la población materno infantil. Efectúa el análisis socio-antropológico de la principales enfermedades, es decir, la interpretación indígena y la de la Medicina Convencional. Explica los principales productos agrícolas de la comunidad asi como la división social del trabajo y las condiciones en que se realiza; las costumbres dietéticas y su dependencia de la dinámica del ciclo productivo anual. Los porcentajes de adecuación de nutrientes consumidos por el grupo materno-infantil y el perfil nutricional. El comportamiento de la fecundidad y algunas de las conclusiones y recomendaciones a las cuales llega el estudio.
