Abstract

RESUMEN: Todas las diferentes interpretaciones del Desarrollo Sostenible y la Sostenibilidad, que han sido construidas como conceptos orientadores e integradores de la problemática económicoambiental-social que vive el mundo desde hace varias décadas, han generado tanta discusión como la crisis misma; sin embargo, a su vez, este hecho nos ha permitido comprender que tras las discusiones y discrepancias subyace una profunda transformación del contexto cultural, que cada civilización de manera independiente ha sufrido en el transcurso de su historia en su relación con el entorno. Hoy, vivimos una época crítica donde los límites naturales y sociales se nos presentan cercanos y peligrosos, y como nunca antes vemos que a pesar de las diferencias profundas que caracterizan las diferentes culturas en el mundo de hoy, todas las civilizaciones en conjunto se están haciendo concientes de la interdependencia que existe entre ellas y la problemática ecológicaeconómica-social que se deriva de esa interrelación.
