Abstract

INTRODUCCIÓN : Estimado Hernán: En esta tardía misiva, quizá con palabras que ya están de más, no es mi pretensión hablar en tu lugar; prefiero, si me disculpas el atrevimiento, hacer como si pudiera hablarte, tratando de abrir un espacio en el que resuene la memoria de tu lamentable ausencia. Lamentable como es el hecho de que persista algo como el desplazamiento forzado, uno de esos problemas de los que creías poder hallar soluciones. Para retornar al asunto del desplazamiento, quisiera comenzar evocándote una pregunta que hacías respecto a lo que ha podido generar dicho problema: “¿Es el desplazado un nómada?”; pregunta que parece remitir a una condición humana atravesada por éxodos, exilios, destierros, migraciones voluntarias o forzadas... y que te llevó a considerar que el desplazado puede terminar siendo “un habitante sin habitación, un terrícola sin tierra, un poblador sin pueblo”, “un desarraigado”, “un caminante sin rumbo”, aquel “nómada que la tradición antropológica nos ha enseñado como símbolo de las sociedades itinerantes, que basan su sobrevivencia en la apropiación de los recursos que ofrece la naturaleza, pero que no ejercen ninguna labor transformadora, porque viven al día y a lo que el sol y la naturaleza provean”.
