En el texto se busca articular los conceptos de olvido, verdad, inconsciente, memoria, perdón y venganza. El olvido es analizado más allá de una falta de la memoria y por fuera del aserto de que olvidando se evita el sufrimiento y se facilita el perdón. La verdad se relaciona con la subjetividad y no con la objetividad, mientras que el inconsciente será equivalente a la memoria y se contrapone a la conciencia.
