Instrumento reconfigurable de medidas magnéticas

Abstract

RESUMEN: El conocimiento de las propiedades magnéticas de los materiales define sus posibles usos. La forma más común de caracterizar un material magnético es por medio de su curva de magnetización versus el campo magnético aplicado (curva de Histéresis). Esta curva da cuenta de valores como magnetización de saturación, campo magnético coercitivo, la magnetización remanente que permite saber que tan blando o duro magnéticamente es un material, además, también permite la identificación de fases magnéticas (paramagnéticas, ferromagnéticas, etc). En este trabajo se presenta un equipo que tiene la posibilidad de hacer diferentes tipos de medidas magnéticas, apuntando a la caracterización magnética. El equipo se basa en un dispositivo FPGA y puede ser reconfigurado desde un PC para hacer el tipo de medida deseado. El equipo es un Instrumento reconfigurable para la medida de propiedades magnéticas, puede configurarse como un magnetómetro de muestra vibrante (VSM por sus siglas en inglés, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer) ó un sistema para medir el efecto kerr magneto óptico (MOKE por sus siglas en inglés Magneto-Optic kerr Effect) ó un Teslámetro o medidor de campo magnético.
