Niiskuskindla kasevineeri füüsikaliste ja mehaaniliste omaduste varieerumine ligunemise ja väljakuivamise tsüklite järel

Abstract

This master's thesis studied the impact of soaking and oven-drying cycles on plywood bending strength (BS), modulus of elasticity (MOE), thickness swelling (TS) and thickness contraction (TC) were investigated, and the results were compared with Marko Sooru research results. The plywood that was used, was an UPM's 12 mm thick exterior birch plywood, which side surfaces of the test pieces were coated with waterproofing to prevent water seeping from the sides. Test pieces were cut from two identical 3000 x 1500 mm plate. The test methods were determined by European Standards (EN). Test pieces were measured in both the parallel and perpendicular direction, which is determined by the top layer of the plywood. In both directions there were 10 series, and each series there were 24 test pieces. According to their serial number each series underwent as many 24- hour soaking and 48-hour oven-drying cycles. In each series the test specimens were measured 1-12 moist (moisture content of ~ 25%) and 13-24 dry (moisture content of ~ 7%). BS and MOE were determind with a universal testing machine Instron 3369. TS and TC were measured using handtools in accordance with the standards. The results showed that the pieces were most affected by the first soaking and ovendrying cycle. Waterproofing side surfaces of the test pieces mainly influenced a moisture content, which in this study increased to 25%, and in Marko Sooru´s study increased to 40%. The decline in BS and MOE was more stable and slower than in Marko Sooru´s results.

Antud magistritöös uuriti ligunemise ja väljakuivamise tsüklite mõju vineeri paindetugevusele, -elastsusmoodulile, pundumisele ja kokkutõmbumisele ning tulemusi võrreldi Marko Sooru uurimustöö tulemustega. Töös kasutati UPM-i 12 mm paksust niiskuskindlat kasevineeri, millest väljalõigatud katsekehade külgpinnad kaeti hüdroisolatsiooniga vältimaks vee imbumist külgedelt. Katsekehad lõigati kahest identsest 3000 x 1500 mm plaadist. Katsete metoodika on sätestatud Euroopa Standarditega (EN).
