About roe deer’s (Capreolus capreolus) abundance dynamics in Estonia
Authors: Mumm, Madis;

Eesti metskitse (Capreolus capreolus) arvukuse dünaamikast

Abstract

The aim of this study is to estimate Eestonian roe deer’s density and abundance and describe abundance dynamics from 2009 to 2015. Data is collected from drive count blocks from Tipu and Järvselja where pellet group and track counts also are made.During the researches Tipu’s and Järvselja’s dynamics of roe deer ise analyzed. The aim is to compose regression equations to assess how density form drive count blocks is reliant to pellet index and track index. Abundance of individuals in 2009 was 95 600, 2010. 74 300, 2011. 37 100, 2012. 20 400, 2013. 30 500, 2014. 24 100 , 2015 46 400.
