Markets and financial activity are a very relevant element of the longterm economic and political strategy of all countries. In recent years, the regulatory framework and greater flexibility of the US financial system have generated a significant shift of economic value to this country at the expense of the rest of the world. The European Union, with the so-called Capital Markets Union (CMU) strategy, has tried to reverse this situation, albeit unsuccessfully. The development of decentralized finance based on blockchain and the expansion of FINTERNET could decisively accelerate the concentration of financial markets under US dominance.
